Digital onboarding
700K+people signed up through it
Mashreq Egypt's mobile onboarding. I worked across the whole journey, from the first screen to an open account, including the KYC and document-upload steps where you prove who you are.
I craft the flows people use every day, and make sure nobody gets lost in them. On the web and on the phone, mostly in React, React Native and TypeScript.

Two major products, one goal: getting someone from “I want an account” to actually having one.

10K+requests handled a day
I led the build of NEO's account-fulfillment web app. The team using it lives in it all day, so I focused on making it fast and easy to move around in, and connected it to the verification APIs so fewer requests need a manual check.

Agency work, so a different client every few weeks. Marketing and e-commerce sites in React, Node and Express, Android features in Kotlin, and Azure Functions, App Services and Cosmos DB behind them.
Software Engineer · Khartoum
My first job. I built web apps end to end in JavaScript, React and Node, mostly for B2B clients, and ended up running the team's Jira board and daily stand-ups.

I got my first engineering job in Khartoum in 2018 and have been building front ends ever since.
At Revo Tech I learned the job by doing all of it: the React app, the Node service behind it, and eventually the Jira board and the morning stand-up.
In 2021 I moved to Dubai and spent a year and a bit at Inceptive, an agency. New client, new stack, new deadline. Most of it was React and Node, but when a client's Android app needed new features, I picked up Kotlin and shipped those too.
Since mid-2022 I've been at Mashreq, building the flows people use to join the bank. More than 700,000 people have signed up through the mobile onboarding journey I worked on, and the fulfillment app I led handles over 10,000 requests a day. At that scale every screen has to be fast, clear, and hard to get wrong, and that's the bar I hold my work to.
Most days it's TypeScript and React, on the web or in React Native. The rest comes out when a project needs it.
Building something people will use every day?
I'd like to hear about it.
